The principles of mechanism, wheels and pulleys, strength and proportions of shafts, couplings for shafts, and engaging and disengaging gear.
Condition: Inside front cover has partial yellow sticker which seems to be a library instructions for borrowing paper. No other library markings. Pages are lightly age toned and some have soil. Pages have edge soil and some have edge tears and bent corners. Front free endpaper has names (Willie James Calumet and John C Josey) in pencil. Cover has rubbing wear, bumped and damaged corners, soil, and wear to the edges. Spine has wear and fraying at the top and bottom and worn through the cloth on in several small spots on the edges.
